While perusing the Feb 17, 1911 Edition of the Evening Sun you will see, on page  5,  an advertisement for the 14th Annual Rossland Winter Carnival.

Wouldn’t you know it but a fun thing like this doesn’t stop. And it hasn’t – this past January they held their 119th Carnival. They says it’s Canada’s oldest winter carnival . . . I wonder how they feel about that out in Quebec where they say their first one was in 1894?
